After the mat was woven, the finishing touches were added by tying red fabric to spell out

As the last presenters arrived the weaving of the welcome mat was complete but the welcome was not over. The Welcome Mat was taken to the Art Building at Portland State University for the conference registration. As people stepped up to the registration table they participated in the project by stepping onto/into the welcome
